eight2O is the largest alliance in the water sector. The partners involved are Thames Water and two design and build joint ventures made up of Costain, Atkins, Black & Veatch (CABV); and Skanska, MWH and Balfour Beatty (SMB). MWH also leads programme control and IBM is the technology innovation partner.
The alliance brings together global expertise from multiple sectors – including Thames Water – aligned around a common set of outcomes and a shared vision. eight2O is a place where all partners put in their best people, practices and techniques to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions. This brings greater value for money and benefits to Thames Water customers and a stable return.
Together, the alliance will carry out £1.75bn of capital investment work during the AMP6 period (2015-2020), with the potential to extend the contract to 2025.
