Highways Supervisor

Your new role

This is a multi-faceted Supervisor role which will see you ensuring the smooth running of our local depot. Based in East London, you will be running a tight ship making sure all the teams are operating in a timely manner and running the weekly toolbox talks with good humour.

Your week will be made up of the below responsibilities:

Putting together job packs, making sure all required documentation is included and that gangs are ready to get to work.
Working with the Programmer to make sure KPIs and being hit, logging defects and managing people resource
Conducting site audits and promoting health and safety.
Dealing with the HR requirements for your team; annual and sick leave, collecting weekly timesheets etc, health and safety.
Managing your team to hit daily targets and running daily check ins as they return to site
Having an overview of what is going on at the depot, organising purchase orders, preparing job packs for weekly Programme meetings.

About you

As this is largely a people management role you will need to have effective communication skills and the ability to build rapport within a team.

You will ideally hit most of the below points:

Background in highways with demonstrable management experience
Attention to detail and time management skills
Leadership skills and able to manage diverse teams and multiple projects at one time
Keen decision-making skills
CSCS card holder
UK drivers licence
