B&W Tunnelling Ltd
In the early years B&W’s reputation was gained from our vast experience of using traditional hand excavation techniques, constructing tunnels from 900mm to 2100mm diameter. In 1999 B&W invested in mechanised equipment and by 2002 owned one of the largest fleets of mechanised pipejacking equipment in the UK.
Working on the DCWW scheme in St Brides in 2002 B&W achieved a World Record for a 1500 TBM, pipejacking 55m of pipe in a 12-hour shift.
B&W continue to invest in new equipment, recently adding Microtunnelling to their arsenal. We can offer our clients a wide range of trenchless techniques to suit their needs and the ground conditions.
