Who We Are
Established in 2017, DJ Civils Ltd is a national civil engineering and groundworks contractor delivering complex civil engineering projects and associated infrastructure for Private Clients and Tier 1 contractors across the UK water and wastewater sectors.
Our capability spans heavy civils — precast and in situ reinforced concrete tank structures, deep shaft works and watertight construction — alongside drainage, utilities, earthworks, remediation and highways.
Health & Safety
Health and Safety is one of our four core pillars. We operate a robust H&S management system supported by a directly employed workforce, robust risk assessments and method statements, and on-site supervision trained to manage complex lifts, confined spaces and live working environments. We promote personal accountability and adapt our approach to reflect modern techniques and changing legislation.
Quality – ‘Right First Time’
Quality, delivered Right First Time, is a defining pillar of our business. Each project is governed by a tightly tracked Inspection and Test Plan, with quality assurance packs maintained and signed at each stage ensuring handover documentation and sign-off are simple.
Early Contractor Involvement
We engage at tender and pre-construction to add value before ground is broken — refining budget, programme, buildability, temporary works, logistics and craneage strategies alongside the design team. Our on-site Temporary Works Coordinators take concept designs through to construction revision supported by our planning, estimating and operational team ensuring delivery to time and budget.
Collaborative Working
Partnership is one of our four pillars. We work as part of the wider project team — sharing programme information openly, attending design and coordination workshops, and adapting to live site constraints alongside other contractors. 78% of our revenue comes from repeat customers, and Tier 1 contractors consistently rate our construction-phase performance 9/10 across collaboration, communication and stakeholder engagement.
Delivering Complex Projects
Our heavy civils capability covers precast and in-situ reinforced concrete tank structures, deep shaft manhole excavations, reinforced concrete foundations and structures. We routinely manage complex lifts of precast units in excess of 20 tonnes, develop bespoke shuttering and temporary works for intricate in situ stitches, and operate just-in-time logistics on constrained sites. Specialist plant, GPS-operated machinery and an experienced TWC capability allow us to deliver at pace without compromising quality.
