Bid Framework Manager

SAVECO Environmental Ltd have an excellent opportunity for a charismatic and ambitious individual to join our growing team in Tewkesbury. The selected individual must have a strong drive to not only meet the job requirements but to actively look to grow and develop the wastewater market (AMP8).

Saveco Environmental Ltd is a growing engineering company based in Gloucestershire, providing bulk-solids handling equipment to the biogas, agricultural and waste-water industries.

A dedicated passion and energy for the sector is a necessity, as well as a drive to exceed customer expectations and targets and build rapport with customers.

Please be aware, the appointed individual must be keen to travel throughout the UK & Ireland to attend customer sites, scheduling meetings as necessary with the initial support of the Sector Manager / Sales Manager.

We are looking for someone who ideally has at least 2 years’ experience working in frameworks and tendering documents, preferably within the Utilities wastewater sectors. Please note, that this role may be a combination of wastewater or biogas sectors.

Job Type Full-time, permanent (following 3-month probation)
Salary Competitive, based on experience
Experience Minimum 2 years, framework / tendering, preferably within the Wastewater sector.
Schedule Monday to Thursday 8:30 – 17:00 Friday / 8:30 – 14:30

Key Responsibilities:

  • To actively pursue and grow the current customer base and develop new business accounts within the whole of the UK & Ireland.
  • Ideally be in possession of a contact list of key personnel within the industry to assist promote business.
  • Set up, maintain and manage procurement systems, actively looking for new and upcoming tender opportunities
  • To learn technical knowledge about the equipment and kit being sold to provide a comprehensive and informed service to customers and potential customers and to respond to queries.
  • Focus towards AMP 8, development within the sector.
  • To attend and help to run various exhibitions throughout the year to grow visibility.
  • Report to Manager and Director all sales activities and provide relevant information as required.
  • Demonstrate a dynamic approach and actively respond to challenges.
  • Attend training sessions, both in the office and at the head office in Italy, to develop knowledge and skills.

Required Skills

  • 2 years + experience and a proven track record in a similar based role, i.e., tendering / frameworks
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • To be highly driven persistent in pursuit of own targets. This is not a role for someone who isn’t passionate to grow the sector!
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of our sales team.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel to the Group head office in Italy 2-4 times per year for training and skills building.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
