Sales Engineer
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £45,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
This is an excellent opportunity for a charismatic and ambitious individual to join our growing sales team in Tewkesbury. The selected individual must have a strong drive to not only meet the job requirements but to actively look to grow and develop the sector. A dedicated passion and energy for the biogas and agricultural industry is a necessity, as well as a drive to exceed customer expectations and targets and build rapport with customers.
Please be aware, the appointed individual must be keen to travel throughout the UK & Ireland to attend customer sites, scheduling meetings as necessary with the initial support of the Sales Manager.
We are looking for someone who ideally has at least 2 years’ experience working in sales, preferably within the agricultural or biogas sectors. Please note, that this role may be within either the agricultural or biogas sectors or a combination of the two depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- To actively pursue and grow the current customer base and develop new business accounts within the whole of the UK & Ireland, and to pursue and respond to all sales enquiries by telephone, email, or by site visits.
- To learn technical knowledge about the equipment and kit being sold to provide a comprehensive and informed service to customers and potential customers and to respond to queries.
- Promote our products and services, as well as build relationships with dealers to promote B2B sales as well as direct sales to end users.
- Meet agreed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Obtain new customers through networking and telesales leads, with a willingness to grab all opportunities and a passion to use initiative to grow the sector.
- To attend and help to run various exhibitions throughout the year to grow visibility.
- Report to Manager and Director all sales activities and provide relevant information as required.
- Demonstrate a dynamic approach and actively respond to challenges.
- Attend training sessions, both in the office and at the head office in Italy, to develop knowledge and skills.
- Provide exceptional customer service and address any customer concerns or issues which may arise as quickly and confidently as possible.
- Getting your hands dirty from time to time ( if your scared of slurry, this job isn’t for you)
Required Skills
- 2 years + experience and a proven track record in a similar sales-based role, i.e., farming, agricultural, biogas or bulk-solids handling.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
- To be highly driven persistent in pursuit of own targets. This is not a role for someone who isn’t passionate to grow the sector!
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
- Self-motivated and target-driven with a proactive approach to work.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of our sales team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel daily as required.
- Ability to travel to the Group head office in Italy 2-4 times per year for training and skills building.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent following 3-month probation
Salary: Competitive, based on experience, split between base salary, commission and annual bonus.
