Frampton on Severn Sewage Treatment Works serves a local population of approximately 1,500 residents. Following ongoing performance challenges at the site, Severn Trent Water engaged Purestream Process Solutions to deliver a treatment solution that improves effluent quality while maintaining environmental compliance.

The project required integrating new treatment equipment into the existing process stream, including installing desludge pumping arrangements and associated electrical infrastructure. Careful planning was essential to ensure that pipework routes maintained operational access across the site while eliminating potential health and safety risks. In addition, the solution needed to provide flexibility for potential future adoption beyond an initial 12-week hire period.

Solution

To meet these requirements, Purestream supplied and installed two LS15 lamella settlement tanks to enhance solids separation and improve overall treatment performance. The package also included two desludge pumps integrated into the live process stream, along with all associated effluent and sludge pipework. Full mechanical and electrical installation works were undertaken to provide a complete turnkey solution.

Outcomes

All equipment was supplied and installed within the client’s required programme and budget. The upgraded treatment process delivers improved solids removal and enhanced treatment efficiency, providing a reliable, robust solution that supports continued site compliance and operational performance.
