Formula Truckstop is a premier industrial lorry park in North West England, boasting 120 secure overnight parking bays and outstanding facilities for a comfortable stay. Dutypoint was appointed to this large-scale project to install wastewater pumping station equipment into concrete chambers to ensure the facilities, including toilets, sinks and showers, are clear of wastewater and safe and sanitary for customer use.

No design plan was provided, so specialists from Dutypoint completed a full design of the systems, and overcame challenges to ensure that an efficiently working pumping station could be delivered – meeting the client’s needs and hitting tight deadlines.

The Dutypoint team selected 200 mm ABS Sulzer XFP Heavy-Duty Wastewater Pumps. These heavy-duty commercial wastewater pumps are EX-rated and designed for heavy wastewater applications in larger commercial applications, such as lorry parks on this site. During the installation of the system, several challenges had to be overcome, including very high surface runoff from the attenuation lake and lorry car park, very high flow rates and a tight programme.

The customer was incredibly impressed with the service experience, having received a cracking pump station built to high specification, complete with high-quality pumps, ultrasonic level control and an off-site built baffle plate.
