Under the framework, it will be developing new approaches to managing and maintaining Southern Water’s clean and wastewater facilities, and successfully implementing new technology and innovation to deliver Southern Water’s vision. The framework will last five years, with an option to extend by another three years.

Mott MacDonald will provide a broad range of services under Lot 1 Asset Management and Lot 3 Technical (Engineering & Environment), led from its Brighton office. The new collaborative framework will support the delivery of the largest investment programme Southern Water has ever undertaken.

Richard Risdon, Mott MacDonald managing director UK & Europe said:

“The programme proposed by Southern Water for AMP8 is its largest ever and we are proud to have been selected to work on this framework. We will use our experience and skill as a trusted advisor to the UK water sector to work collaboratively in supporting Southern Water’s ambitions to provide a high-quality service to its customers.”

Southern Water’s head of procurement, Stephen Coleman, said:

“I am delighted to welcome Mott MacDonald, who I am confident will be of huge support to Southern Water as we embark on an absolutely crucial time of positive change for the UK water sector. Projects within this framework will help future-proof our network and enhance our communities across the region.”
