Gilkes are officially SSIP accredited

Gilkes is proud to announce that we have achieved SSIP certification as both Principal Contractor and Principal Designer for our hydro-electric power plant services, accredited by Achilles.

This recognition underlines our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety in everything we do.

SSIP, which stands for Safety Schemes in Procurement, is an umbrella organisation that aims to streamline the prequalification process for health and safety assessments in the UK construction industry. It does this by facilitating mutual recognition between different health and safety assessment schemes. With this certification:

  • We confirm our H&S management processes meet the HSE backed criteria
  • We are recognised as an SSIP approved Principal Contractor and Principal Designer.
  • We are streamlining our compliance for our customers and suppliers

Securing this certification was a key requirement from one of our Framework Agreement customers. We are proud to meet and uphold this important industry standard. Gilkes is intent on providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all our employees and visitors to our sites and facilities.
