Project Description / Main Operations

This project was carried out on behalf of Balfour Beatty, for United Utilities. The contract included the sinking and construction of a 20.00m diameter shaft approx. 17m deep, and a 9.00m diameter shaft approx. 10m deep, within the playing field of a primary school.

Scope and method:

Sinking and construction of a 20.00m diameter shaft, 17m deep.
Sinking and construction of a 9.00m diameter shaft, 10m deep.
