Eliquo Hydrok Ltd

Eliquo Hydrok backs Truro City Women and the next generation of female talent

From L-R Zoe Arundell-Lethbridge , Andrew Charlston, Paul knight, Matt Down ( ELIQUO HYDROK), Will Snapes , Rose Mason-White, Rosie Shipp

Eliquo Hydrok is proud to become an official sponsor of Truro City Women ahead of the team’s first competitive season under the Truro City badge.

The partnership strengthens our relationship with Truro City Community Trust while supporting the continued growth of women’s football in Cornwall.

There is also a wider opportunity to connect the visibility of women’s sport with the career opportunities available to young women in Cornwall. Engineering remains a sector where women are underrepresented, and increasing awareness of the opportunities available is an important part of creating change. At Eliquo Hydrok, we want young women to be able to see engineering as a career where they can develop, succeed and make a difference.

Supporting successful female role models in the community, whether on the football pitch or in the workplace, can help challenge perceptions about what opportunities are available.

Speaking at Truro City Stadium, Matt Down, Managing Director, Eliquo Hydrok explained why supporting the team was important:

“We really wanted to sponsor the women’s team so we could strengthen our links with the Community Trust, demonstrate our commitment to women’s sport in Cornwall and what that will bring in the future, particularly with it being the first season.

For Eliquo Hydrok, supporting women’s sport also fits with our approach to encouraging more women into engineering and the wider water industry. We want young women to know that there are opportunities for them in engineering and that there is a place for them in our industry

We would love to see them rise up the leagues and have the success that the men’s team have, and maybe beyond that,” Matt said. “It’s about how that can develop in years to come with young girls and young women.”

We share that ambition and look forward to supporting Truro City Women as they begin their competitive journey and continuing to build our links with the local community.

Good luck for the season, Truro City Women.
